Kazha is a rock band founded in 2009 by Japanese singer-songwriter Kazuha Oda (Kazha) and guitarist Hideki Matsushige. Kazuha is a classically trained vocalist who has performed across a wide range of musical genres, from classical to heavy metal. Her music has appeared on the iTunes Top 100 charts in numerous countries, where it remained for extended periods.
Following the release of their debut album, Overture, in 2010, Kazha performed at numerous anime and comic conventions, as well as Asian cultural festivals around the world. In 2011, the band obtained its first U.S. nonimmigrant visa and began performing at anime conventions and festivals across more than 35 states. In 2023, Kazha expanded into the U.S. club circuit. Throughout its U.S. performances, the band has shared the stage with nationally recognized artists, including George Lynch, Y&T, Trapt, L.A. Guns, Adelitas Way, King's X, and Green Jellÿ.
Although the band originated in Japan, Kazha proudly represents the birthplace of rock 'n' roll—Memphis, Tennessee—as an Official Ambassador for Music Export Memphis. While touring tirelessly coast to coast across the U.S. throughout the year, the band calls Memphis its second home.
